Monkey Bread
This is a quick recipe. It is delicious and fun for the whole family. The kids love to help prepare this. It is great for holiday brunches (like Easter and Christmas).
2 cans jumbo refrigerated biscuits
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup margarine, melted
Preheat oven to 350 F. Coat a 9X13 pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
Mix cinnamon and white
sugar in a plastic storage bag. Cut biscuits into little pieces (I cut the jumbo biscuits into about 9 pieces each). Place the pieces into the food storage bag and shake until well coated. Arrange the pieces in the bottom of the prepared pan.
Mix together the brown sugar and margarine. Pour over the biscuit mixture in the pan. Trying to cover each of the pieces.
Bake 45-60 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown and no longer doughy in the center. Cool in pan 10 minutes and turn upside down onto the serving platter. Pull apart to serve. Serve warm.
